How environmentally friendly are the RheoActiv products?

RheoActiv was developed to provide powerful, cost effective performance as well as being environmentally friendly. Being a 100% active powder there are significant CO2 savings in transportation versus liquid admixtures which are usually 70-80% water. RheoActiv is safe for people too as it is chloride and formaldehyde free unlike many liquid admixtures on the market.

Why can't I just add more water or add wasking-up liquid?

Although water is essential for the hydration of cement the reality is that the more water is added the weaker the properties of the concrete / mortar. Because RheoActiv enables water to be optimumly utilised within the mix you can greatly reduce the amount of water you need (up to 40%) whilst maintaining all the workability. This enables far better quality concrete/mortar with higher strength and less shrinkage/cracking.
